Save the Trees – Trinity Trail grotto near University threatened

Trinity Trail Grotto
As a frequent user and strong advocate for the Trinity Trail system, I feel obligated to let everyone know that the beautiful, eight-acre wooded parcel of land along the Trinity Trail near Rogers Road (one block west of University), which most people thought was a park, is now owned by Chesapeake Energy and plans are being finalized by Chesapeake to destroy 2.5 acres of the trees to be used as a gas drilling site.

You can learn more about the plans and what you can do to preserve this area at TrinityTrees.org
